This depth is born of the ancient Tamenuri technique. Layer after layer, natural Urushi lacquer is applied, cured, and polished by hand, creating a surface through which light travels, transforming and returning enriched with depth.
Over time, the lacquer becomes more transparent, revealing new nuances and turning each pen into a living record of time.

Each Hane Toruko is shaped by the silent precision of Urushi Master Arakawa, whose meditative craftsmanship honors centuries of tradition.
