Graf von Faber Castell Pen of the Year 2007
IMPORTANT:
This is a new pen, never used.
Unfortunately we have never put it on sale because it has a small groove near the bottom.
You can see this detail in the photo.
The case, in excellent condition, has a slight dent in the lower part.
Due to these 2 small problems, the pen is on sale at an exceptional price!
The Graf von Faber-Castell Pen of the Year 2007 is a distinguished limited edition fountain pen that exemplifies exceptional craftsmanship and the use of rare materials.
Graf von Faber-Castell Pen of the Year 2007 Key Features
-
Material: The barrel is crafted from petrified wood, approximately 200 million years old, sourced from ancient Brazilian hardwoods. This fossilized wood, transformed over millennia through mineralization, exhibits hues ranging from light brown to deep black, often with subtle veining.
-
Design: Eight meticulously cut and polished petrified wood segments are set into a platinum-plated barrel. The transitions between the wood and metal are seamless, showcasing the precision of the craftsmanship.
-
Nib: Equipped with an 18-carat bicolor gold nib, available in Fine (F), Medium (M), and Broad (B) widths. Each nib is hand-tested to ensure optimal writing performance.
-
Filling Mechanism: Features a plunger (piston) filling system, allowing for efficient ink uptake.
-
Limited Edition: Each pen is individually numbered and was produced exclusively in the year 2007.
-
Presentation: Comes in a luxurious wooden case with a certificate of authenticity signed by Andreas Crummenauer, master craftsman at the Herbert Stephan gemstone manufactory, attesting to the pen's quality and the genuineness of the petrified wood.
