Sailor x KAMAWANU – Special Limited Edition Collection
The Sailor x KAMAWANU collection celebrates the beauty of everyday Japanese life through the combination of Sailor's refined fountain pen craftsmanship and KAMAWANU's traditional textile artistry.
The collection features two limited-edition fountain pens: Tsurumaru-Ume and Fugu-tatewaku.
The collaboration is inspired by the theme “Cherishing Everyday Life”, inviting us to appreciate the beauty and value of everyday moments through carefully crafted objects and traditional Japanese design.
Sailor Pro Gear x KAMAWANU Fugu-tatewaku
The Sailor Pro Gear x KAMAWANU Fugu-tatewaku Fountain Pen Set celebrates traditional Japanese aesthetics through a distinctive combination of colour, craftsmanship and textile design.
Its deep indigo PMMA resin body features white pufferfish and rising bubble streams inspired by the traditional Japanese tatewaku motif.
The design is complemented by elegant IP Gold trim, creating a refined contrast with the deep indigo colour.
The Fugu-tatewaku design combines the image of the fugu, the iconic Japanese pufferfish, with the tatewaku pattern, characterized by flowing, rising lines.
KAMAWANU reinterprets these traditional elements in a distinctive design created specifically for this collaboration.
The fountain pen features the classic Sailor Professional Gear Large silhouette and is equipped with a hand-finished stainless steel nib with IP Gold plating, designed to provide a smooth and dependable ink flow.
The set also includes a matching authentic KAMAWANU tenugui, dyed in the same heritage pattern as the fountain pen, adding an authentic element of Japanese textile tradition to the collection.
