The History of Aurora
Aurora was founded in Turin in 1919 and, throughout the 20th century, became one of Italy's leading manufacturers of writing instruments.
Over the course of its history, the brand has created numerous models that have played an important role in the history of Italian pen design. These include the Novum, Etiopia, Optima, Aurora 88 and Hastil.
Introduced after the Second World War, the Aurora 88 became one of the brand's most iconic writing instruments. The Optima, originally introduced in the 1930s and later reinterpreted, also remains one of the most recognizable names in Aurora's collection today.
Over the years, Aurora's historic collections have been joined by new models and numerous special editions, while maintaining the brand's strong connection with Italian design and craftsmanship.
