The Lamy 2000 Taxus features a body made from yew wood (Taxus baccata), an evergreen conifer known for its exceptional longevity.
Yew wood is dense, heavy, resilient and naturally free of resin, making it a particularly distinctive material for fine craftsmanship.
Its natural colour variations and delicate grain give each Lamy 2000 Taxus a unique appearance and a warm, tactile character.
The Lamy 2000 Blackwood is crafted from Blackwood, a particularly dense and decorative wood prized for turning and fine carving.
With a density ranging from 1000 to 1300 kg/m³, Blackwood combines a deep, rich tone with a subtle grain and an exceptionally fine texture.
These properties allow for precise workmanship and beautifully refined finishes.

Both the Lamy 2000 Taxus fountain pen and the Lamy 2000 Blackwood fountain pen feature a 14-karat gold nib, available in four widths: EF – Extra Fine | F – Fine | M – Medium | B – Broad
The fountain pen is equipped with a piston filling system, allowing it to be filled directly from an ink bottle and providing generous ink capacity.
